Passionate about higher education on the African continent
After receiving my PhD at the University of Cambridge I would like to live and work in sub-Saharan Africa to assist Christian universities in creating excellent research centres. Only 1% of the knowledge worldwide is produced in sub-Saharan Africa. It is important for a country to have the capacity to generate own knowledge for the benefits of students, professionals, communities and society at large. Relevant knowledge is key for students to develop skills such as critical thinking and problem solving. Students with these skills have the ability to come up with solutions for societal problems. I believe by stimulating local knowledge development, a movement can arise from within, which can accelerate the progress of Sub-Saharan Africa.
